Most any LG Optimus 2X review on the internet has it comparing well with other smartphones. This model was the first dual-core Android phone to be announced in 2011 and it set the bar high. Functionality as a game playing platform is not in doubt and it has an excellent camera with HD video recording capability as well.
The dual core processor allows for quick web page loading, sharp graphics and smooth multi-tasking; everything consumers require from a smartphone. The 2X is fast and responsive, and as a result of this the camera app loads smoothly and navigating menus and browsing the web is quick. It excels in gameplay functionality and benefits from a large 4 inch screen.
The device comes with a top spec 8 megapixel camera bursting with features, including a macro setting. The HD video recording does not lose any integrity when played back on a large screen either. The device offers HDMI inputs so the phone can plug directly into an HDTV, a welcome feature.
The only downside of this model is that the quality of voice calls doesn’t quite meet the high standards of what is otherwise an excellent phone.
