The new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is an attractive mobile phone. This release of this device marks a milestone for Nokia as the 5800 is the company’s first touch screen driven mobile phone. Its design is very similar to that of the popular iPhone from Apple. This device has an aim towards music and provides users with access to the Nokia music store. To get the user hooked, Nokia is providing free access to the music store for the first year that you own the phone.
The Nokia 5800 is capable of playing several music formats including MP3, AAC+, WMA, and WAV. This device also comes with a stereo FM radio. A non-proprietary 3.5mm jack is also included so you can use your favourite headphones with this Nokia mobile phone as well.
Included with the Nokia 5800 is a 3.15 megapixel camera that uses Carl Zeiss optics. There is also a secondary camera that can be used for video calling. The device comes with a decent amount of internal memory to get you started but you will want to take advantage of the microSD expansion slot which can support cards that are up to 16 gigabytes in size. Included in the box is an 8 gigabyte card as well.
Despite its numerous offerings, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic only weighs around 109 grams. It is 111mm long by 15.5 mm wide and it is 15.5 mm thick. Battery life is fairly impressive with users getting nearly 9 hours of talk time out of the included battery and around 406 hours on standby.
