Armani Samsung Night Effect Mobile Phone

It might not be a touch screen mobile but gosh do we like the Armani Samsung Night Effect Mobile Phone.
Samsung have done a great job all round here in producing a great looking mobile phone, the Emporio Armani logo on the side ligths up when your in a call or when your phone rings. The Samsung Night Effect has a 3 Mega Pixel Camera and a MicroSD slot so that you can add more storage as the phone only comes with 120MB as standard.
Using a 3.5mm audio jack you can connect your own headphone which is always better than using the ones that come bundled with the phone its self.

Samsung M8800 Pixon

If you’re wanting a touch screen mobile phone with all the latest features the the Samsung M8800 Pixon mobile is the one for you.
Featuring a 3.2″ touch screen, 8 Mega Pixel Camera, 200MB Internal Memory and 3G with HSDPA support.
The only thing that is slightly disappointing about the M8800 Pixon is that it doesn’t have Wi-Fi which is slowly getting integrated into high end mobile phones.
The interface on the Samsung M8800 Pixon is really easy to navigate and simple to use more so than some of Samsung’s earlier touch screen mobiles.
You can also your the touch screen as a qwerty keyboard if you rotate the phone on to its side, it would be a lot easier to use a stylus to type a message this way as the keys are slightly smaller but using your finger is possible just check your SMS message before you send it to anyone.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Yesterday Nokia set a release date for the 5800 XpressMusic which will be the 23rd of February and will cost around £249 for the sim free version.
On the 30th of Febuary the phone will be released to the UK networks like Orange, Vodafone and 02.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic comes with a 3.2″ screen which is optimised for one handed use. The Nokia 5800 also features orientation sensor which will flip your image when you rotate the phone.
Featuring a 3.2 Megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, Auto Focus and a dual LED flash the camera function on this mobile really is great.

Memory isn’t a issue with the Nokia 5800 either as it comes standard with a 8GB microSD card and will support 16GB MicroSD memory as well. The 81MB isnt shabby either for internal storage since its only really used for the O/S.

The Blackberry Pearl 8120

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is a feature packed Smartphone in a small case.  This is the most compact mobile phone that Blackberry makes and provides a few multimedia features to attract more than just its typical business users.

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is 107mm long by 50mm wide and is 14mm thick.  The device weighs just 91 grams.  Users can expect to get up to 4 hours of talk time and 360 hours on standby out of the standard battery.

Users will enjoy a built in 2 megapixel camera with the Pearl 8120.  The camera is capable of capturing video although users might notice that the quality might not be the best.  There is an internal 64 megabytes of memory where users can store their photographs.  If the memory gets filled, a microSD expansion slot is provided for users.

One thing that makes the Blackberry Pearl 8120 different from all other Blackberry mobile phone is its keypad.  Most offer a full QWERTY keyboard but the Pearl 8120 only offers a half QWERTY keyboard.  Users might notice a little bit of difficulty adjusting to the format.

For added convenience the Blackberry Pearl 8120 provides integrated Wi-Fi operating on the 802.11b/g networks.

Users will be happy to know that this mobile phone will keep them fully connected allowing for support of up to 10 email addresses.  These can be Microsoft exchange accounts and even gmail accounts or a combination of multiple different types of email accounts.

Projector Phone With Touch Screen

We dont want that 8 Mega Pixel camera phone anymore, we want a Projector Phone.
Can you remember the novelty of your first camera phone taken photos of slightly drunken mates on nights out.
Well now that entire novelty will come again with the projector phone, we can imagine the endless possiblitys for this are pretty much endless.
Since this is a China based phone it might not see any overseas markets but it might just capture the eye of other big mobile phone makers such as Nokia, LG and Samsung.

Using Mobile Phones In Hospitals

For years hospitals have banned people suing mobile phones in hospitals. but how many people still have turn turned on but just on silent.
Well now the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, has turned round to the government and said that visitors and paients should be allowed to use there mobile phones in hospitals within certain areas.
This could just cause more confusion than banning them out right.
But since those patient line phones are so expensive to use and call this could really have a knock on affect within some areas.

The Sony Ericsson W660i RED

The Sony Ericsson W660i RED offers users a decent 2 megapixel camera that has a 2.5 zoom capability.  The camera also offers autofocus and flash for improved picture quality.  Video captures are also possible with the W660i RED as well.

This mobile phone is 102mm long by 46mm wide and 14.5mm thick.  The W660i RED weighs 93 grams.  Users can expect talk time of up to 6 hours and 360 hours on standby.

The Sony Ericsson is a 3G device which is certainly a bonus.  One of the downsides however, is that it is only a tri band device operating on only the GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies.

Motorla SURF A3100

This great looking touch screen mobile is from Motorola is braded by them as the SURF A3100 but no doubt will get re branded again by each phone network / carrier.
The SURF A3100 has a neutral carbon footprint for those of you that dig that kind of thing, mainly due to certain components been made from re-cycled water bottles.
The SURF A3100 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a 2.8” touch screen, which is industry standard at this moment in time but no doubt these will get up to 3” in the near future.
The SURF A3100 might not see UK marketplaces as it is rumoured to be shipped straight on to the Asian marketplace which is a shame for such a nice phone, could this be down to such fierce completion from the iPhone and blackberry Storm. Also the SURF A3100 is going to be a replacement for the Ming which is mainly in the Asian market which again backs up rumours
Featuring a 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with auto focus and a microSD slot supporting up to 32GB Cards, the SURF A3100 does seem to have a lot of the features a consumer wants in these modern times.

More Applications Heading For The T-Mobile G1

One major reason the T-Mobile G1 seems to be lacking in popularity is down to the lack of applications that are available to download.

The T-Mobile phone network have gone to great lengths to promote the G1 yet applications so far have not been in the spotlight.

Apples IPhone has over 10,000 applications available to download and are easy to download through the IStore and most of them you will need to pay for.
Some of the applications that are in the IStore are quite gimmicky like the pint of carling that empties when you tip your IPhone to one side or even been able to get the bible which even Vatican City has commented on.
In November 08 Apple claimed more than 300 million downloads for applications, so it proves people don’t mind paying for good or novelty applications for their Mobile Phones
Developers will get to keep 70% of the software fees and Google will take the other 30%. If your application goes viral over the web then you could see a very nice profit as a developer.  So I would be expecting to see a flurry of applications been released in the hope of a bit of money making
The USA and UK will be the first to see the priced applications followed by France and Italy and slowly spreading across the marketplace.
Since the G1 is the first mobile phone to use the android software expect more to follow in this trend increasing the number of applications tenfold.

What you should consider when shopping for a PDA

As you prepare to go shopping for a PDA, there a few factors you should consider before you get out your credit card. Some of the things to consider when purchasing a PDA are listed below:

Size of the Display Screen

A personal digital assistant should have a large, brightly lit and user-friendly display. Due to the small size of the PDA, you will need the screen to be large enough so that you do not strain when reading information from the PDA. Also, this information will most likely be important business information and so accuracy will be vital.

Size of the Random Access Memory

Random Access Memory is the part of the PDA that is responsible for the displays that you see on your PDA’s screen. Because of this, you should purchase a PDA with huge Random Access Memory – RAM.

A PDA with a large Random Access Memory is able to run applications faster without experiencing freezing problems. Also, a large RAM PDA is able to access and retrieve data faster. Acquiring a PDA with a large RAM from the onset is less expensive than doing an upgrade later on. When shopping for a PDA, set your minimum PDA RAM requirement at 32MB. However, should you be considering doing more than run applications on your PDA, then 64MB or above is most ideal.

Expansion Slots – Memory

In today’s competitive business world, more is better. But you do not want to be bogged down carrying many gadgets, so when you are looking to simplify and organise things, a large memory PDA can provide the perfect solution for you. When window-shopping for a PDA, consider how much more expandable memory you can add to the PDA. A built-in expandable memory slot should be able to accommodate and support memory sticks, compact flash and secure digital. Be sure to check the maximum capacity of data it can support in terms of add-on memory. Also, the PDA expandable memory should be easy to connect with other gadgets including your PC or laptop.

Networking features

This involves deciding which technology will enable you to interlink your PDA and all of your other gadgets seamlessly. You should go for a PDA that supports wireless technology as well as Bluetooth.
