Challenges of Mobile Banking

With more and more people jumping on the mobile banking bandwagon, it is inevitable that a few hiccups will be experienced sooner rather than later. The fact that mobile banking is a relatively new technology, electronic fraudsters are likely to have a field day preying on naive victims. A good number of these victims are more likely to be comprised of the senior citizens who are technologically savvy and so might have a hard time adapting to the new technology. That aside, mobile banking is likely to face these other challenges:

Lack of a singular and common protocol will render great impedance to the growth and development of the mobile banking phenomenon. Currently there is no standard guiding mobile banking, and as a result a number of protocols are in use. These protocols include – HTML, WAP, SOAP and XML. This means that a customer using more than one bank might have to result to having a number of mobile phones. Not many mobile phones can support all of these applications.

Software upgrading is another issue that can be anticipated. It would be prudent of banks and other financial institutions that intend to adopt the mobile technology to come up with software that will be able to check for available updates and update itself automatically. Otherwise, many clients will end up being denied the full mobile banking experience as a result of an out-of-date software.

Also, as a result of the large number of people owning a mobile device and given that mobile banking services will be running for 24 hours a day 7 days a week; the number of clients is set to increase exponentially. Banks and other institutions should implement the necessary measures to cope with this increase.

13 Year Old Californian Girl Sent Over 14 Thousand Text Meassges

Sending 14,528 SMS does seem  bit far fetched but it is possible, 484 text messages, one text every 2 minutes (not including time when she was sleeping). Oh and your bill would be 440 pages long that’s about 1 ream of paper so it must of cost a fair amount in US postage.
This is a great advert for her mobile phone manufactourer which is LG as it proves just how robust there phones are.
I bet your thinking about the cost that would of been occurred by her obsessive compulsion to text people every 2 minutes well it was $30 as she had a unlimited Texts, last time i checked there was a fair policy usage over here in the UK and that is usually around 3 thousand texts and going on a cost of 12p per text i would of been charged £1383.36.
If she sent this many text messages then there must be a few other high hitters amongst her friends.

If you’ve every owned a Blackberry you’ll know how handy they and how you soon become attached to them.
The BlackBerry Storm 9530 is a no different, the first fully touch screen release from Rim (Research In Motion) surely this is the phone that can content with Apples iPhone.
The home screen shows you everything your going to need quickly Messages, SMS, Contacts and Calendar. Also in the top half of the 3.2″ screen is how many new SMS messages you have received the symbol that represents what audio profile your Blackberry is set to and the usual like signal strength and battery life remaining.
Storage isnt an either as the BlackBerry Storm 9530 will support up to 8GB on a MicroSD and with frequent O/S updates it will probalby support 16GB soon.
Using the excellent Blackberry Maps and built in GPS you can navigate your way around town centres very quickly it can be used in the car but since there’s no voice option then it could be a tad dangerous.
The camera on the BlackBerry Storm 9530 is a great feature as normally Blackberrys lack a good camera, ok its only 3.2 Mega Pixel but its better than the 1.3 Mega Pixel ones you got in the past.

HTC Lolite Leaked

The HTC Lolite doesn’t look to have evolved at all or made any significant break through in mobile technology. Its very much old hat parts in a new shell, which isnt a bad thing but it isnt great either.
The Lolite has a 3.2 mega pixel camera, 2.8″ touch screen, Wi-Fi and GPA and will feature TouchFlo like the HTC Diamond.
There is no leaked release date or picing yet, as Expansys have pulled the page but we are sure that HTC will release some more information soon.

HTC Touch HD

People that have HTC mobile phones tend to stay with them when the mobile phone contract is up for renewal and just get the next latest HTC mobile phone that is around at the time.
The only we that aren’t so keen on is the start up time for Windows Mobile software and in past it hasn’t always been the easiest to use.
The HTC Touch HD has wireless connection which is great as you can surf the net on your wireless connection at home. Also featuring a lovely 5 Mega Pixel camera with auto focus and a secondary camera so that you can video call.
The built in GPS mean that you can install Tom-Tom sat nav software and use this as a portable sat nav.

Sony Ericsson G705

Some of the main features of the Sony Ericsson G705 are 3.2Mega Pixel Camera, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and Wayfinder.
The Sony Ericsson G705 is of course using Sonys own M2 memory cards and you’ll get a 1GB M2 card in the box, which should be enough for you but isn’t a big selling point when other phones are shipping with 8GB cards.
The G705 is made entirely from plastic which kind of makes the phone look a little bit umm low end, and this might put some poeple off the phone entirely when other mobile phones are available that have a better build material.
The Sony Ericsson G705 features a FM radio which seems to be a raraity in such a digital world, but every now and again it is nice to listen to the radio.
The 3.2 Mega Pixel camera is fixed focus which is bit of a let down but at least it has a flash, the best feature is the geotagging capability which a really nice feature.

Armani Samsung Night Effect Mobile Phone

It might not be a touch screen mobile but gosh do we like the Armani Samsung Night Effect Mobile Phone.
Samsung have done a great job all round here in producing a great looking mobile phone, the Emporio Armani logo on the side ligths up when your in a call or when your phone rings. The Samsung Night Effect has a 3 Mega Pixel Camera and a MicroSD slot so that you can add more storage as the phone only comes with 120MB as standard.
Using a 3.5mm audio jack you can connect your own headphone which is always better than using the ones that come bundled with the phone its self.

Samsung M8800 Pixon

If you’re wanting a touch screen mobile phone with all the latest features the the Samsung M8800 Pixon mobile is the one for you.
Featuring a 3.2″ touch screen, 8 Mega Pixel Camera, 200MB Internal Memory and 3G with HSDPA support.
The only thing that is slightly disappointing about the M8800 Pixon is that it doesn’t have Wi-Fi which is slowly getting integrated into high end mobile phones.
The interface on the Samsung M8800 Pixon is really easy to navigate and simple to use more so than some of Samsung’s earlier touch screen mobiles.
You can also your the touch screen as a qwerty keyboard if you rotate the phone on to its side, it would be a lot easier to use a stylus to type a message this way as the keys are slightly smaller but using your finger is possible just check your SMS message before you send it to anyone.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Yesterday Nokia set a release date for the 5800 XpressMusic which will be the 23rd of February and will cost around £249 for the sim free version.
On the 30th of Febuary the phone will be released to the UK networks like Orange, Vodafone and 02.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic comes with a 3.2″ screen which is optimised for one handed use. The Nokia 5800 also features orientation sensor which will flip your image when you rotate the phone.
Featuring a 3.2 Megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, Auto Focus and a dual LED flash the camera function on this mobile really is great.

Memory isn’t a issue with the Nokia 5800 either as it comes standard with a 8GB microSD card and will support 16GB MicroSD memory as well. The 81MB isnt shabby either for internal storage since its only really used for the O/S.

The Blackberry Pearl 8120

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is a feature packed Smartphone in a small case.  This is the most compact mobile phone that Blackberry makes and provides a few multimedia features to attract more than just its typical business users.

The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is 107mm long by 50mm wide and is 14mm thick.  The device weighs just 91 grams.  Users can expect to get up to 4 hours of talk time and 360 hours on standby out of the standard battery.

Users will enjoy a built in 2 megapixel camera with the Pearl 8120.  The camera is capable of capturing video although users might notice that the quality might not be the best.  There is an internal 64 megabytes of memory where users can store their photographs.  If the memory gets filled, a microSD expansion slot is provided for users.

One thing that makes the Blackberry Pearl 8120 different from all other Blackberry mobile phone is its keypad.  Most offer a full QWERTY keyboard but the Pearl 8120 only offers a half QWERTY keyboard.  Users might notice a little bit of difficulty adjusting to the format.

For added convenience the Blackberry Pearl 8120 provides integrated Wi-Fi operating on the 802.11b/g networks.

Users will be happy to know that this mobile phone will keep them fully connected allowing for support of up to 10 email addresses.  These can be Microsoft exchange accounts and even gmail accounts or a combination of multiple different types of email accounts.
