The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus provides a generous upgrade to 2011’s Galaxy Ace.
Internally, it features a 1 GHz CPU, 512 MB of onboard memory, and 3 GB of internal flash memory. Externally, it features a 3.65 inch 320 x 480 pixel touchscreen. All of these things are improvements over its predecessor.
In addition to the features included with Android 2.3, the Galaxy Ace Plus includes a series of Samsung add-ons for social networking. The user interface is Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
The back camera is 5 megapixels and includes an LED flash. The phone features all of the standard amenities, including 3.5 G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a multimedia player. There is also a micro SD slot. The battery is 1300 mAh.
While a decent budget ranged smartphone, the one flaw of this unit is the screen. The lower resolution means that some applications appear somewhat grainy.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Ace Plus is set for release in Russia in January 2012. Mobile phone news sources expect a worldwide release to begin shortly thereafter.
