The Nokia 6500 SLIDE Review

The new 6500 SLIDE from Nokia offers users a well built mobile phone that comes in an attractive package.  The case of this phone is made predominantly out of brushed stainless steel with the bottom edge being rubber to provide users with some grip as they navigate the mobile phones keypad.  The Nokia 6500 SLIDE functions like its name suggests as a slider meaning that its keypad is stored within the body of the phone when not in use.

When you hold this phone it feels like it is very durable and you will not have to worry about breaking it. The drawback to the Nokia 6500 SLIDEs durability is that it has contributed to the mobile phones weight of 125 grams. The 6500 SLIDE is 96.5mm long by 46.5mm wide and is 16.4 mm thick. While the phone is more compact than many it also tips the scales higher than most as well so it is up to the user to decide which aspect they desire most.

Users of the Nokia 6500 SLIDE will enjoy decent battery life lasting up to 6 hours of talk time and 310 hours in standby. The mobile phone operates on both the GSM and EDGE networks with its quad band design.

Users will also enjoy a built in camera on the Nokia 6500 SLIDE that is 3.15 megapixels and features Carl Zeiss optics. This mobile phone also is capable of playing several different types of popular music formats such as MP3 and AAC.
